Charles E. Neagle III, M.D. received his B.S. in Biomedical Engineering with Magna Cum Laude honors and Tau Beta Pi honorary election from Vanderbilt University. This curriculum focused on the application of engineering principles to biological processes and required strong problem solving and analytical skills. Dr. Neagle earned his M.D. at The University of Maryland Medical School with Magna Cum Laude honors and Alpha Omega Alpha honorary election. Always interested in the application of engineering principles to treat medical pathology, an Orthopedic Residency was completed at the University of Pennsylvania and a Hand and Upper Extremity Fellowship at the Baylor College of Medicine. Frustrated by the tremendous waste in healthcare spending and puzzled by the frequent lack of patient engagement and understanding of their health, Dr. Neagle applied the quantification of engineering to create the Pharmalto “Mobile Health Engagement”™ solution suite. It’s specifically designed to engage, empower and connect the individual consumer to their health and well being. Daily self reporting of medication adherence, health sensor, activity and nutritional data allows algorithmic analysis to present timely actionable data to the health care provider ushering in a new age of preemptive health care intervention.
